This shoot was a test for my original idea of changing parts of my identity in order to make the images slightly unsettling and making myself more ‘alien’ to the viewer. 

 

Originally, I attempted to use makeup to conceal my eyebrows but this was unsuccessful so I bleached them instead. I wanted to change my eyebrows as they are a focal feature of my face as they are naturally thick and dark so this was a big change.

 

I used dramatic edits in contrast to the natural edits I usually go for as I want to push myself to try new things with this project. I think the vibrant colours and high contrast give an otherworldly atmosphere and I am satisfied that these images show the isolation and coldness that i had intended as well as the unusual edge given by the makeup and bleached eyebrows.
