My work exists to challenge myself by exposing the vulnerabilities I work so hard to hide. For this project I have focused on my fears surrounding ‘growing up’, particularly the physical changes. My imagery has a simulated and timeless quality that reflects the detachment I have developed to daily life and how I choose to instead romanticise the most mundane experiences. My work is self-oriented but I believe my imagery can be widely interpreted and allow many people to relate to it. 

 

Art is a remarkable form of catharsis.
